Our green heated studio offers classes in temperatures from 80 – 105 degrees with and without humidity. There is something for everyone at The Yoga Room.
Creative Power Vinyasa
by way of various creative asana sequences that include challenging flow, alignment, philisophical inspiration and relaxation. Expand your ability to “see” aspects of life and bathe in the possibilities. In this class poses will flow from one to another in conjunction with your breath. This class will create strength, freedom and flexibility in the body, mind and spirit.
Gentle Yoga is a class structured around rejuvenating and healing the body. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps are often used for safe practice, and to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably. This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.
Ashtanga (eight limbs) is a specialzed sequence of postures and breathing technique that promotes strength, flexibility, and balance. This style of practice allows one to go deeper into the physical poses, while simultaneously encouraging a state of awareness that can bring calm and personal growth. In this class, students will be guided through short form of the primary series as derived from the teachings of K. Pattabhi Jois which has been adapted to be accessible yet challenging.
A slow-flowing approach to Vinyasa incorporating shortly held asanas with attention to alignment and breath why linking movement and building Prana (energy) during transitions through a classic Vinyasa practice. Classes begin with warm-up postures to open spine and hips progressing into sun saluations and ending with deep stretchings postures with a long savasana, breathwork, and a short meditation.
A true blend of balance, core strengthening and flexibility, Heated Power Fusion combines the meditative, detoxifying qualities of hot yoga with the intensity of power yoga to help you deepen your yoga practice. Set to motivating music, you’ll focus on yoga postures that open the shoulders, hips and spine while strengthening your core and upper body. Expand your practice with this set sequence of 26 Bikram postures.
Roll out your mat and enjoy an energetic all levels vinyasa flow class! This class is suitable for students of all levels.Modifications will be offered for level 1 students. Expect to find an awareness of your breath, and to open both your body and heart.
This style of class links movement and breath from pose to pose, creating internal heat to purify body and mind. Beginning with postures to warm-up the spine and hips, progressing into flowing Sun Salutations and ending with deep stretching postures and finally Savasana.
YIN YANG FLOW
This practice allows for you to cultivate a space of balance, moving through equal parts Yang and Yin. Build a moving meditation through a sequence of poses engaging breath, strength and balance. Allowing your body to become grounded, transitioning to longer holding surrender poses. You will leave feeling invigorated, uplifted and relaxed for a peaceful evening.
Basic yoga: New to yoga? Learn the basic fundamentals of alignment and breath work for a safe and smart practice through step by step verbal description and demonstration. A slow paced flow of postures linked together by breath.
A creative spin on our regular Vinyasa class that adds the nuances of softer lighting, candles, slower movements and longer holds. This class for all levels uses breath, movement and relaxation to create strength, balance, flexibility, peace and calm.
